Single beam photocell sensor/single beam detector is used for automatic sliding doors, coil doors, garage windows etc.

It consists of a transmitter and a receiver, and the integrated amplifier can produce an infrared beam.

A narrow infrared beam (I or II) avoids interference from external light.

Even when installed at a low height (20-40 cm from the floor), the detection distance (5-10 meters) can also be guaranteed.

The beam produced by MICROCELL provides the function of automatic detection of sliding doors. When the self-detection beam is interrupted, the door will stop closing and quickly retract to its maximum width. The door will open until the detection beam resumes. When the door closes completely, the detection beam becomes invalid.

Installation Guide

  • 4.1 Receiver module J4 in the figure above is the option switch for NO and NC photocell switch.
  • 4.1.1 When the short circuit cap is set to NO, it is normally open.
  • 4.1.2 When the short circuit cap is on NC, it is normally closed.
  • 4.2 Installation
  • 4.2.1 The photocell should be installed above 20 cm above the ground (to avoid reflections) and the distance between the emitters
  • and the receiver should be more than 50 cm.
  • 4.2.2 The end user should install the photocell receiver on the back to direct sunlight or other strong light source (±5-) to make the photocell work stably.
  • 4.2.3 Avoid installing other infrared photocell transmitters within an effective distance of the receiver.
  • 4.2.4 If the end user needs to install other photocells in the same straight line, the receivers can be installed at two ends and the transmitters can be installed back to back.
  • 4.2.5 Stable installation can prevent the transmitter and receiver signal from skewing due to slight vibration and failure.
  • 4.2.6 When the product is installed in some place at an angle, the end user can adjust the PCBA to make the installation better.
  • 4.2.7 Connect the power supply after inspection, when the short circuit cap is NO, After installing the battery on the transmitter module LED light, the LED light is on for 0.5 seconds and then off, the receiver module LED light is on, the receiver module contact at OFF; After aligning the transmitter and receiver caps, the receiver module LED is off, NC/NO is on; when something or someone covers the sensor, the receiver module diode will light up, the NC/NO contact is turned off. When the short circuit cap on NC, the NO/NO state is opposite to the above phenomenon.
